Vlasic agent confirms Everton exit talks

Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic is in talks over a switch to CSKA Moscow.

Vlasic spent the previous season on loan with the Russian Premier League side after being deemed surplus to requirement at Goodison Park by Marco Silva.

The Croatia international scored eight times in 31 appearances for CSKA, including one in their Champions League group stage win over Real Madrid.

Vlasic is set to represent his country at this summer’s European under-21 Championships in Italy and could be set for a permanent return to Russia.

Tonci Marti, who represents the midfielder, admitted that a fee is yet to be agreed between Everton and CSKA but revealed that talks are still ongoing.

“I can’t confirm that CSKA and Everton have reached an agreement for Vlasic,” Martic told Championat.

”All I can say is Nikola and CSKA are in talks and we are negotiating.”

Vlasic made 19 appearances in all competitions after joining Everton in summer 2017 from Hajduk Split in his homeland in a deal worth £10 million.

But the 21-year-old’s first-team prospects became increasingly limited when Sam Allardyce replaced Ronald Koeman midway through the 2017/18 season.
