Everton are yet to receive any offers for Idrissa Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain.
Reports in France have claimed that a deal to take Gueye to the reigning Ligue 1 champions is imminent ahead of the transfer window closing on January 31.
Les Parisiens’ interest in the Senegal international saw captain Thiago Silva publicly backing the player to make the grade with Thomas Tuchel’s side.
But the Blues refuse to countenance selling Gueye and Marco Silva confirmed on Thursday that no official offers have been received for the 29-year-old.
He said: “For us it’s news. We didn’t have an offer.
“Not one club has made an official offer to Gana or to our club.
“Of course I am speaking with him like I do with all the others in a normal situation. His focus is on our club and working to give his best in our club.
“Until now what I can tell you now is that there are no offers going to Gana.
“If there is something illegal or not, then I don’t know.”
