Joel Robles has attempted to distance himself from supporting an anti-Roberto Martinez post on social media.
Under-fire Everton manager Martinez faced renewed calls for his removal in the wake of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United and one fan claimed that Robles had joined the clamour.
The Blues goalkeeper, signed by Martinez in 2013, appeared to endorse an Instagram post, captioned ‘Martinez out? Like if you think so’, hinting at potential dressing room unrest.
But Robles has since taken to Twitter to clarify his position, claiming that it was a genuine error.
“It’s very easy to do “like” on instagram,” he wrote.
“I didn’t want to touch that picture……”
