Everton have been warned they will have to pay over £15 million to land Youri Tielemans.
The Anderlecht midfielder recently emerged as one of the Blues’ primary transfer targets heading into this summer after impressing manager Ronald Koeman.
But Herman Van Holsbeeck has told Goodison Park officials that Tielemans is not set to be allowed to leave the Belgian club for a cut-price fee.
Anderlecht’s sporting director believes that the 19-year-old is worth more than the £15m that Leicester City paid Genk for Wilfred Ndidi in January.
“It will have to be much more than the €17 million (£15m) Genk received for Wilfred Ndidi,” Van Holsbeeck told VTM Nieuws.
“I have a sum in my head but I will not say. Everything depends on the clubs to come.
“I think a transfer must always be a win-win situation.
“For the player, the club that buys and the club that sells.
“His entourage has always been correct with us, so we will be right with him.”
