Wirral man latest arrested in Blake Brown murder

Police have made a sixth arrest in the investigation into Blake Brown’s murder.

A 31-year-old man from Egremont, Wirral was detained on suspicion of murder last night as part of the probe into Brown’s fatal shooting in Aigburth.

Two people were also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm after warrants were executed on separate addresses.

A man, 29, from Stockbridge Village and an 18-year-old woman from Kirkby were both taken to police stations for questioning as part of the raids.

Detectives have also bailed two men previously arrested within hours of each other last Friday in connection with Brown’s murder on Southwood Road.

A 22-year-old from Huyton and a 25-year-old of no fixed abode were conditionally released pending further enquries.
