A man is in a serious condition after a hit-and-run crash in Dovecot.
The male pedestrian in his 50s was in a collision with a large black vehicle at the junction of Campbell Drive and Thingwall Lane at around 12.50pm on Sunday
Emergency services attended the scene of the incident and the man has been taken to hospital where his condition is currently described as serious.
Following the incident, the car drove off and enquiries are ongoing to establish its whereabouts and speak to the driver.
Road closures are currently in place at Thingwall Lane between Thingwall Hall Drive and Swanside Road and road users are asked to take an alternative route where possible.
