Police have arrested a man in connection with the death of Matthew Bradley.
The 24-year-old was killed in a fatal road collision with a BMW 330 series close to the Strand while on a night out in Liverpool on Friday, November 3.
Although passers-by came to his aid, the driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
A car believed to have been involved in the crash was later uncovered by officers in a residential area close to Liverpool city centre.
Detectives have detained a 22-year-old man from Vauxhall on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been taken to a police station in Merseyside to be interviewed.
Matthew’s family described the Northern Ireland native as a ‘funny, kind-hearted and generous young man who will be sorely missed by all that knew him’.
