Detectives have issued CCTV images of two males they would like to speak to following an assault in Mathew Street in Liverpool city centre.
At approximately 12.30am on Tuesday 5th September a 24 year-old man was in the Grapes public house when he became involved in an argument with two males. He was then subjected to an assault by both males, resulting in him being knocked unconscious and suffering a fractured nose and cuts and bruising to his face and body.
The first male was described as white, aged 35-40, 5ft 9in tall and of stocky build. He had red hair and blue eyes and was wearing a blue coat and jeans. The second male was described as white, in his mid-30s, around 6ft tall and of thin build with dark hair. He was wearing a grey coloured jacket.
Officers have issued CCTV images of two men who they believe could assist with the investigation.

Detective Inspector Steve McGrath said: “I would appeal to anyone who recognises either male in the photograph, or the males themselves, to come forward as we think they may have information which could assist the investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 4065 or the Crimestoppers line anonymously on 0800 555 111.
