Zodiac Lounge reopens after refurbishment

The Zodiac Lounge has fully re-opened after an extensive refurbishment.

Based on Seel Street, the Turkish charcoal grill restaurant has a covered rooftop with heat lamps to keep customers warm in the winter and a sun terrace with a retractable roof for the warmer summer nights.

A full refurb has seen six new large televisions installed for all the big football games as well as other major sporting events.

New red and green leather fixed seating have been added in the terrace areas of the site as well as new lighting and floral ceiling features across the main room.

Instagram worthy selfie spots have been added outside the lift area and main entrance also with some new wall art.

The Turkish-inspired food menu features hummus, chicken kebab, lamb kofta wrap and desserts such as baklava and banoffee sundae and food is available all night.

Owner Yunus Emre Ugur said “We felt it was time to give the venue a refurbishment as well as add some new items to the menu.

“We have also listened to our customers and introduced TV’s all over the lounge in time for the new Premier League season.

“As well as sticking with the very popular 2 for £9 cocktails offer, which we have become known for.

“While shisha or hookah use is prevalent across different groups, it’s especially popular among those of Arabic, Asian, and White British backgrounds, and particularly among younger smokers.

“Our range of flavours is a lot more extensive now and for example we are the only shisha lounge in the city who offer an alcohol based shisha, from rum and whisky to vodka.”

Zodiac Lounge will also be launching a new Friday night event from August 8 called ‘Bootylicious’ with music from Afrobeats to R’n’B from 9pm.
