Picante launch late-night tequila den

Picante is heating the weekends up in Liverpool with the launch of Late Night Mas – a late-night tequila den.

The lights will dimmed, the music a joyous blend of house and Latino beats and the intimate dance floor will be ready upstairs in the Liverpool city centre restaurant.

Picante’s array of signature Margaritas and classic cocktails will be served along with beers, spirits and their already legendary bar snacks.

Late Night Mas will take place each Saturday from 8pm until late as Picante enters the second half of its season, with the Mexican-inspired cantina having already cemented itself as one of the city’s most vibrant spots to eat, drink and be merry.

Kate Meehan – aka Cocktail Kate – explains: “We’re very proud of how the city has already taken Picante to heart.

“The support we have had for our food and drinks has been humbling and it’s heartening to see how much everyone loves what we do.

“So as we enter the second half of the season at Picante, we’re thrilled to introduce Late Night Mas, which launches on Saturday, July 5th and will run each Saturday from 8pm into the night.

“The focus is on creating an intimate escape focused on music and drinks, with guests DJs on rotation, for our late-night tequila den in the heart of Cains Brewery.

“It was always part of our vision now the cantina side of Picante is nailed down and we can’t wait to launch. Late Night Mas will run all the way to the end of September which is the end of our first season of Picante.”

Since launching in March, Picante has been packed each weekend with a spicy taste of Guadalajara in the Cains Brewery Village.

From delicious tacos and nachos to tequila – over 40 varieties – to incredible cocktails, the energetic escape has already brought fresh heat and colour to the city.

Kate also hosts Margarita Masterclasses at Picante, which run each Saturday from 2pm – 3.30pm and 4.30pm – 6pm, £45 per person.
