Liverpool’s romantics are being offered the chance to shower their loved ones on Valentine’s Day without the stress of slaving away in the kitchen.
Signature Living have created two stunning five-course menus for their Baston and Carpathia bars and restaurants in time for next month’s festivities.
The delicious feast is also set to be accompanied by a glass of fizz for guests on arrival and live entertainment to ensure you have the best night possible.
At the Bastion, located inside the Shankly Hotel, diners can choose from a vast array of starters, including oysters Rockefeller and ham hock, leek and spring onion terrine.
This is then followed by a champagne and raspberry granita before guests move on to enjoy their scrumptious main course.
Among the highlights are a herb crusted rack of lamb with Boulangere potatoes, baby vegetables with a thyme and rosemary jus, or an 8oz highland rib eye steak with roasted butter fondant potato, flat cap mushroom, cherry vine tomatoes, watercress and garlic butter.
For fish lovers there is the option of hake fillet with mussel and Greenland prawn broth, crushed new potatoes and green beans, or wild mushroom and goats cheese wellington with tarragon and mustard cream sauce, buttered baby heritage vegetables and sauté potatoes.
Loved-up couples will then move onto their delicious desserts such as raspberry and almond heart with raspberry coulis, sweet pastry cream and pulled sugar, passionfruit cheesecake, berry compote and a mascarpone filled almond tuille.
A melting chocolate pudding with chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate ice cream with a bitter chocolate sauce is also available for delectation.
Couples can also share a selection of moreish treats including the raspberry and almond heart, passionfruit cheesecake and chocolate pannacotta with chocolate ice cream and fresh berries.
A similar experience can be had at Carpathia but there is a slightly different menu which is equally as creative and will make it hard to decide which one to go for.
Guests will also receive a glass of fizz on arrival at the eatery inside 30 James Street and enjoy the fantastic live entertainment.
For starters, those dining can choose from leek and roasted sweet potato, chilli and crème fraiche soup, crispy leeks and truffle oil, or oysters Rockefeller, parsley, garlic and lemon butter with a ciabatta crumb, Bowland lamb hot pot with braised red cabbage and buttered new potatoes, or wild mushrooms with stilton and garlic, toasted brioche and dressed peppery rocket.
The starter will be followed by a mango and peach Schnapps sorbet before guests go on to enjoy their stunning main course, with the choice including: herb crusted rack of lamb with Boulangere potatoes, baby vegetables with a thyme and rosemary sauce, or 8oz Highland rib eye steak with roasted butter fondant potato, flat cap mushroom, cherry vine tomatoes, watercress and garlic butter, or grilled wild bass, with mussel and Greenland prawn broth, crushed new potatoes and green beans, or wild mushroom and goats cheese wellington with tarragon and mustard cream sauce, buttered baby vegetable and sauté potatoes.
The couples will then enjoy a romantic dessert with the choice of; champagne and lemon cheesecake, raspberry syrup, Brandy snap basket with lime sorbet and meringue snow, strawberry and vanilla heart with dark chocolate shavings, strawberry tuille and sweet mascarpone, strawberry coulis, or melting chocolate pudding, chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate ice cream with a rich chocolate sauce, or they have the option to share between two the champagne and lemon cheesecake, strawberry heart, passionfruit pannacotta, vanilla bean ice cream and fresh berries.
A fabulous night will be capped off with coffee and petit fours at both locations.
