Liverpool’s fashion extravaganza hailed a ‘runway’ success

Organisers of the North West Fashion Festival has hailed this year’s event in Liverpool a huge success.

Over 3,000 people attended the fashion and beauty extravaganza last weekend which was held in the stunning setting of St George’s Hall.

Fashionistas and glamorous celebrities turned out in full force sporting their trendiest outfits for the event at the heart of the city centre last weekend.

The two-day festival took place in the Great Hall, which was transformed into a hotbed of fashion.

A huge runway saw the most up and coming designers in the North West showcased their latest collections for the Autumn/Winter range.

It was the third year of the event which just continues to get bigger and better each year and is now regarded one of the region’s biggest fashion and beauty events.

This year’s event featured a VIP Champagne lounge, pamper suite, stalls offering the latest in fashion and beauty, as well as live entertainment and a full programme of seminars and masterclasses from leading industry experts.

Some of the region’s most stylish celebrities, including the stars of Liverpool model Abbey Clancy, model Sam Reece and Love Island stars Katie Salmon and Hannah Elizabeth.

Guests were able to meet Real Housewives Of Cheshire stars Tanya Bardsley and Dawn Ward who also attended the festival.

A host of catwalk shows from leading and upcoming brands, including Loved And Found from John Lewis, Mode Mwah, Tracey Miller and KU Spendlove.

X Factor duo Tom and Laure performed live, as did Keira Wethers, girl band Skarlett, Britain’s Got Talent stars MD Productions and songwriter Clare Sophia.

And for the first time ever, the festival hosted a family day on the Sunday featuring Liverpool children modelling designer kidswear on the catwalk.

High street giant John Lewis launched its new contemporary childrenswear brand Margarita Kids while Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Leanne Brown showcased her kidswear range Kiss Frogs.

“The highlights of the event for me were undoubtedly the Melanie Louise kids’ catwalk finale which was amazing and all the performances over the weekend were brilliant.

“I’d like to thank all the celebrities who took to the catwalk. We have been blown away by the positive feedback and are now planning an even bigger and more exciting for 2017!”
