Bari has become the latest destination added to Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s extensive list of locations.
Ryanair announced that twice weekly routes to the southern Italian city will be launched as part of the Speke airport’s summer 2017 schedule.
Flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with the first departure on March 28, 2017.
Bari is the main city of the Apulia region of southern Italy, on the Adriatic Sea and is well known as a port and university city, as well as the city of Saint Nicholas.
Ryanair celebrated its new route by releasing seats for sale at prices starting from £29.99 for travel in April and May.
These low-fare seats are available for booking on the airline’s website until midnight on Monday, August 22.
Robin Tudor, LJLA’s head of PR, said: “This is yet another new route to be served from Liverpool and the only flight to Bari from the North West.
“It comes hot on the heels of Ryanair’s news of flights to Marrakech from here, and gives the region’s travellers an even greater choice of destinations from Liverpool.”
