Knowsley Safari is inviting guests to camp under the stars, safari-style.
On August 23 and 24, ‘Camp Knowsley: Safari Sleepover’ will see adventurous campers have two full days access to the safari, complete with exclusive bushcraft activities including bug eating, fire lighting, crafts and shelter building.
The wild adventure continues after hours with private safari experiences, before catching up with fellow campers after dark, with hot drinks and a tasty BBQ supper in the campfire community space.
With the roar of tigers in the distance and Bagot goats and Soay sheep as neighbours, campers will retire to bed on the Saturday evening in a bell tent fit for explorers.
Each tent is equipped with comfy foam-topped airbeds, sleeping up to four people. And after a restful night, it’ll be time to help Knowsley’s animal keepers with some morning breakfast feeds for the meerkats and bush dogs.
The Safari Sleepover experience includes full access to the Foot Safari where Amur tigers, giraffes, Andean bears and birds of prey can be seen, as well as the 500-acre Safari Drive – the UK’s longest – complete with a crash of white rhino, pride of African lions, Bactrian camels, ostrich and many, many more species.
Helena Berry, Knowsley Safari’s head of marketing and sales, said: “This is a one-night-only wild camping adventure like no other, the ultimate outdoors escapade for nature-loving families, and a truly unique opportunity to experience the Safari after dark.”
Camp Knowsley: Safari Sleepover is available to book now on the Knowsley Safari website costing £600 per tent, inclusive of all activities, tea, coffee and soft drinks.
