The team behind the Liverpool Food & Drink festival have announced that the event is to be cancelled with immediate effect.
For 11 years, the festival has been a highlight for foodies in the city and has attracted around 40,000 visitors to Sefton Park.
Both the summer event and the spring event have been cancelled due to high running costs.
SK Events who run the event said ”
Due to the extremely high increase of costs required to put on the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival, the festival is no longer sustainable.”
Over the years it has welcomed celebrity chefs including Simon Rimmer, Gino D’Campo and The Hairy Bikers.
