The school are almost out for summer in Liverpool and many people will now be thinking about where to jet off to during the summer holidays. The John Lennon Airport has recently announced lots of exciting news from airlines including an EasyJet expansion and new travel routes for Wizz Air and Ryanair. This means that there is lots more exciting new destination to visit this year! Below you can check out our top ten travel destinations that we think you will love to visit in July 2018.
Darwin
Australia is a place on the bucket list for many people, so why not take the plunge and take the 24 hour flight to Darwin? Although it is currently winter in Australia, Darwin is still a fantastic temperature ranging anywhere from 20 to 30 degrees in the summer time. This is the capital city of the Northern Australian territory and often it does not get the attention that it deserved when compared to other famous cities such as Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide. We would recommend when you are visiting here that you check out the stunning beaches, go river sailing, visit the national parks and go on a trip to the Tiwi Islands.
Formentera
If you have frequented Ibiza these past few years but are looking for something a little bit different, then you may want to visit Formentera! Formentera has long been associated as a hang-out spot for A-listers such as Kate Moss, but everyone is welcome to visit this stunning island. Here, you will find amazing beaches to rival that of St Barths, restaurants serving delicious seafood and plenty of bohemian beach clubs. As Ibiza’s neighbouring island, you get to enjoy the fun Ibiza atmosphere and gorgeous setting, just with a little less of the 18-30 holiday vibe.
Stockholm
While many of us will be jetting off to lay down next to a pool for two weeks, others may be looking for a holiday that has a little more to offer! Stockholm is a great choice and while many people associate this as an autumn/winter destination it is also fantastic to visit in the height of the summer season too. The harsh Scandinavian winter will be long gone and you can enjoy gorgeous weather while exploring the Swedish capital.
Mykonos
The Greek islands are always a popular destination over the summer holidays and Mykonos has long been a favourite amongst tourists for its glamorous appeal. This island happy lives up to its reputation of being a St Tropez meets Ibiza crossover and offers a sizzling atmosphere perfect for those who are looking to have fun on their holidays this summer. There are plenty of amazing restaurants to visit, white sandy beaches and beach bars. All of which is the perfect combination for a fantastic beach holiday! This destination also comes alive at night and so if you love to party, this will definitely be the destination for you. If you are going with a group of family or friend, Mykonos villas rentals are the perfect place to stay! They are the perfect setting for group holidays, family get togethers, parties and even weddings.
Las Vegas
Another fantastic option if you are looking to party this summer is Las Vegas! Vegas is known for its wild clubs and outlandish casinos, however, did you know that there are plenty of daytime activities to enjoy here too? You can go on a helicopter ride to see the Grand Canyon, head off to a shooting range or visit the wide array of cool American shopping brands. You can also head down the strip to view the many different hotels and the casinos and clubs that they each have to offer. Don’t forget to check out the famous Bellagio fountains!
Dubai
Known as the Las Vegas of the middle east, Dubai has gone from a desert to a global player. This is one of the hottest destinations of the moment and you can expect everything here to be luxurious and grand from the hotels to the shopping centres. Dubai is famous for having the largest shopping centre in the world and is a shoppers paradise! Inside you can also find huge aquariums and even an indoor ski slope! This really is quite something to see in the middle of the July Dubai heat. What we love about Dubai is that although it is very westernised, you can still drink in the culture by visiting the Jumeirah mosque or you can take a trip through to Abu Dhabi one day to visit the famous Grand Mosque.
