LANY will support Ellie Goulding during her tour date in Liverpool this Thursday (March 10).
The band visit the city with high praise – singer Sam Smith said of the band via instagram ‘ I am so obsessed with ‘thisislany’. Whilst Zane Lowe praised the band on BEATS radio.
The band was born in a Nashville bedroom and comprises of Paul, unhealthy Les and Jake.
The trio that started as a group of friends looking to combine their unique skills to “see what happens, ” and have now found themselves on the frontier of the digital tidal wave after creating their first Soundcloud page.
LANY’s unprecedented success on Soundcloud’s platform was enough to get Soundcloud’s internal cloud of executives to partner with the new artist, and impactful social platforms like Snapchat have been avid supporters.
Furthermore global brands such as H&M, Hollister Co. and most recently Starbucks are playing various LANY songs on their in-store playlists across the country from, aptly, LA to NY in over 13,000 stores.
LANY are no strangers to the road having previously followed tours with Tove Styrke, Zella Day, Twin Shadow and X Ambassadors.
During the early summer they played to a packed out tent at Sloss Festival in Birmingham, AL as well as taking to the stage at the spectacular Lollapalooza Festival.
LANY have reached success when their ep “I loved you” reached #14 in the iTunes pop album chart.
