Liverpool Celebrates, the family-friendly festival which comes to the Pier Head this August Bank Holiday, are offering free entry on Sunday for kids with a paying adult.
The festival opens on Saturday, August 23 featuring legends Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet, Sister Sledge with Kathy Sledge, The Gypsy Kings and The Real Thing, who were recently recognised as Citizens of Honour in their home city.
On Sunday, families are the focus with a special Bongos Bingo and performances from tribute artists including Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, ABBA, Whitney Houston and Sabrina Carpenter.
Daniel Sanders from Liverpool Celebrates said: “We wanted this year’s festival to focus on families and make Sunday an affordable day out with top quality entertainment suitable for all ages to enjoy.
“Johnny Bongo will host a Bongo’s Bingo special, followed by artists recognised as some of the best tribute acts in the business playing all the singalong specials.
“There’s also face painting, stilt walkers and other entertainers with street food from around the world and sweet treats galore.
“With gates opening at 1pm, it’s one of the best-value events in the city this summer.”
Monday, August 25 is the Cavern’s tribute to the Mathew Street Festival with some of the biggest European tribute artists playing the music of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Billy Joel.
Tickets are available from liverpoolcelebrates.co.uk with free entry on Sunday for up to three children aged 14 and under with each adult ticket.
