Vengaboys headlining Malmo on the Mersey

Dance legends Vengaboys are set to headline Liverpool’s Eurovision party.

Last year’s Eurovision Song Contest saw the city take centre-stage as it hosted in lieu of war-torn Ukraine, who won the annual competition in 2022.

But as the contest returns to Sweden after Loreen won last year’s Grand Final with her song ‘Tattoo’, the M&S Bank Arena will be hosting its own party.

Malmo on the Mersey will be hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside presenter Ngunan Adamu and featuer standout stars from last year’s Eurovillage.

Taking place on May 11, the day of the grand final, Vengaboys will return to Liverpool to head a line-up including DJ sets from Sonic Yootha and more.

Ben Williams, member of Liverpool City Region’s music board and ACC LIverpool’s commercial and business development director, “Where better to continue Liverpool’s Eurovision legacy than at the UK’s home of Eurovision!

“Liverpool’s unrivalled musical reputation is known across the world, and we want to make sure that our city is the best place to experience the Eurovision vibe outside of Malmo itself.

“We can’t wait to continue the legacy of the 2023 final on this next part of the Eurovision journey.”
