Signature Living to sponsor British LGBT Awards

Liverpool developer and hotel operator Signature Living is to be one of the headline sponsors of this year’s NatWest British LGBT Awards.

Company owners Lawrence and Katie Kenwright and managing director Kris Mochrie announced the sponsorship today (Monday 30 April) as they reaffirmed the company’s longstanding support for the LGBT+ community.

The ceremony, held in London on May 11, will celebrate individuals and organisations which work to advance the rights of LGBT communities.

It will acknowledge milestones in politics, media, grassroots activism and the corporate world.

Spice Girl Mel B and Blue singer Duncan James will host the star-studded event.

Signature Living has a track record of backing LGBT+ initiatives. The company sponsored the LGBT Awards in 2017 and in the same year supported Liverpool Pride.

Last summer the hotel firm displayed rainbow flags across their hotel network to demonstrate their commitment to LGBT+ rights and equality.

Signature Living’s Lawrence Kenwright said: “From the boardroom down to the shop floor Signature Living is all about diversity. We embrace all people and proudly celebrate the vibrant and diverse nature of our employees and hotel guests. I am pleased to reaffirm our commitment to the LGBT+ community by backing this important event again.”

Managing director Kris Mochrie added: “It is a pleasure to lead an organisation where our people are encouraged and supported to be themselves. Our decision to support initiatives like the British LGBT Awards is a recognition of our LGBT+ employees.”

Awards founder, Sarah Garrett MBE, said: “Signature Living’s passionate show of support for the LGBT community is commendable.”
