Vincent and Flavia will be taking to the Liverpool Empire stage for the final time for the next two nights.
Their last tango was almost always going to slick, stylish and emotive and they do not fail to deliver.
The story is based on George, and older man, who is moving out of his house and finds items that take him back to key moments.
Vincent and Flavia play the younger versions of George and his love.
The chemistry and performance is electric and exudes emotion.
Their partnership has always been outstanding but in this performance they display intrinsic chemistry that makes it almost impossible for you to take your eyes off them.
The Last Tango displays many different styles of Tango with a variety of well-known music as it’s backdrop.
There are more lively numbers which are thrilling however there are more touching moments such as the heart-breaking World War II section which was absolutely stunning.
The Last Tango is also blessed with profusion of stunning talent that compliments Vincent and Flavia. The entire cast dance up a storm through the show and provide a tangible energy for the audience.
Director and Co-Choreographer Karen Bruce has worked together with Vincent and Flavia to provide a truly amazing evening at the theatre.
If you are a lover of those musicals from the golden age of musicals, that saw some of the iconic dancers of a generation grace our screens then The Last Tango is an absolute must-see.
It’s a crying shame this will be their last theatre production but they have truly delivered a spectacle.
Their skill is in bringing a lifetime of love to the stage, and leaving us as the audience wanting more – and that, they did.
