A teenager has been killed after he was hit by a car in Page Moss.
The 13-year-old boy was riding a bicycle on Liverpool Road just after 5pm on Monday evening when the fatal collision occurred.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that the victim was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.
His family have been informed and the driver of the car is helping officers with their enquiries.
Road closures at the junction of Liverpool Road and Princess Drive remained in effect throughout Monday night as CCTV and witness enquiries took place.
