A motorist has died after crashing into a central reservation on Queens Drive.
Police were called to the scene at around 1.40pm today following the fatal collision of a white van close to the Navigator pub in the area.
The road remained cordoned off for several hours as the driver was taken to hospital, where they were pronounced dead on arrival.
Officers from Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Team have informed the victim’s next of kin.
