A woman has died after being found in a Wirral car last night.
Emergency services were called to a stationary vehicle on Tollemache Road in Prenton at around 8pm following a report of concern for the woman’s safety.
Paramedics attended and attempts were made to revive the 44-year-old but she was pronounced dead a short time after being taken to hospital.
The woman has been identified and her next of kin have been informed.
Police are treating the death as ‘unexplained’ but no suspicious circumstances are thought to be involved.
A post-mortem is being carried out to establish the cause of death.
