Police have charged three men in connection with an alleged kidnap and assault in Norris Green.
The incident took place on Felmersham Avenue on Saturday night as a 44-year-old was pulled from his car by a group of men and assaulted.
He was then driven away in a silver Audi before police patrols sighted the vehicle and pursued it, price to the junction of Delamore Street and Cairo Street.
The victim had sustained cuts and bruises before the offenders made off on foot. They were later arrested in the Leighton Street area.
Callum Clarke, sales 23, from Anfield, Paul Dwyer, 28, from Anfield and Dylan Gleeson, 23, from Kirkdale have all been charged with assault and kidnap.
The trio are set to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court this morning.
