Liverpool City Council set to approve Lime Street skyscraper plans

Plans to install a skyscraper on Lime Street are set to be given the go-ahead next week.

Liverpool City Council are expected to approve the plans for the £70 million development by Unite Students on the city centre destination.

Unite already provide accommodation for almost 3,500 students in Liverpool and plan to extend that by a further 1,000 with their Lime Street plans.

The city council’s planning committee will decide next Tuesday on whether to allow the proposal to press ahead in time for the start of the 2019/2020 academic year.
