An investigation has been launched into the discovery of a man’s body in Birkenhead.
Emergency services were called to a car park near Oxton Road around 1.30am this morning after a member of the public found the 43-year-old.
Merseyside Police are currently treating the man’s death as unexplained ahead of a post mortem into the cause while investigators are combing the scene for evidence.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Detectives are appealing for anyone who has any information about this incident to get in contact.
“The area has a number of businesses in, including a casino and officers believe that there would have been people in the area, even at this early hour.”
