Debenhams store at Liverpool One has had closed its ground floor cafe after a mouse was seen in the building.
Debenhams voluntarily closed the cafe after an inspection by council environmental health officers earlier this week.
The store said that pest control was called in after the sighting of a mouse in the lower ground cafe area.
On a closer inspection of fridge base units, vialis 40mg there appeared to be an affixed grill that prevented access for cleaning. When this was removed, link mouse droppings were found.
The area has since had a deep clean and the store has said it will be presenting evidence that the area is clear.
A Debenhams spokesperson said: “The store voluntarily closed its lower ground cafe on Tuesday afternoon and has quickly taken steps to rectify a cleaning access issue.
“The main restaurant is unaffected and is trading as normal.”
A spokesperson for Liverpool One said: “We are working closely with our colleagues at Debenhams and are confident the situation will be resolved swiftly.”
A Liverpool city council spokesperson said: “We can confirm that environmental health officers carried out a routine inspection of the ground floor cafe earlier this week.
“Following some concerns which were raised, Debenhams voluntarily closed the cafe.
“It will be re-inspected as soon as possible.”
