Multiple Post Office branches across Liverpool have closed ‘until further notice’.
Branches in Walton Vale, Bootle, Formby, Croxteth, Woolton and Childwall are among those suddenly shut on Thursday (November 6) without full explanation.
A note left on the shutters of both the Penny Lane and Woolton branches shortly after the surprise closures stated that they were ‘temporarily closed until further notice’
The service’s operators Post Office Limited claimed ‘operational reasons’ were behind the surprise move and urged customers to use its Branch Finder function.
A spokesperson said: “There are some Post Office branches in the Liverpool area that are currently closed for operational reasons.
“It is not known when these branches will re-open. In the interim there are nearby alternative branches and customers are advised to visit www.postoffice.co.uk/branch-finder to find out the locations, opening hours and the range of services offered.”
