EasyJet has confirmed their latest destination from Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
The Speke terminal’s largest airline will begin flights to Gran Canaria from October in a twice-weekly route operating from October 27 on Mondays and Fridays.
Flights to the Canary Islands are already on sale with one-way seats starting from £35 each, offering travellers the chance to take up the option of some winter sun.
Adrenaline seekers can venture up one of Gran Canaria’s many volcanoes to take in the views and experience the island’s canyons, cliffs and calderas it has to offer.
EasyJet have over 640,000 seats now on sale for destinations from Liverpool for their winter 2025 season, between December 15, 2025 until March 22, 2026.
Tour operator EasyJet Holidays will also be offering package holidays on this new service, with all packages including flights, hotel, 23kg luggage and transfers, covered by its Ultimate Flexibility – offering freedom to change a booking, a refund guarantee, and best price guarantee.
Holidaymakers can opt for a vast range of low-cost luxe getaways, to family beach break escapes, with free kids’ places widely available.
The airline has been expanding its operations at Liverpool over the last year, having added a seventh Airbus A320 family aircraft to its fleet this winter and introducing nine new routes to Split, Malta, Fuerteventura, Prague, Berlin, Marrakesh, Derry, Sharm el Sheikh and Oslo.
Paul Winfield, Aviation Director for LJLA, said: “We are delighted to welcome additional winter sun routes with our largest partner easyJet next winter.
“This new service will now enable more passengers from across the North West to travel to Gran Canaria from Liverpool compared to the current imbalance in the region.
“We look forward to welcoming lots of passengers choosing to fly on holiday in search of some winter sun from Liverpool with EasyJet.”
