The people of Liverpool are not squeaky clean when it comes to household cleanliness, according to a recent survey by cleaning brand Vax.
According to the survey 52% of Liverpudlians cut corners when cleaning- including not recycling waste properly and spraying air freshener to mask smells.
Plenty of those asked (30-36%), claimed that the physical demands of cleaning put them off, with some resorting to bribes including dinners, cups of tea and even cash, to get some extra help.
Interestingly most Scousers said that a visit from friends or family was the most influential factor in persuading them to undergo a big clean.
Vax cleaning expert Christina McDaid added, “We have busy lives and we don’t want to spend too long cleaning, so we need products that are fast and effective. Vax have developed machines designed to make light work of even the most arduous cleaning tasks.”
