An Everton fans’ group is set to hold a post-match sit-in against Southampton.
Saturday’s visit of the South Coast outfit represents a relegation six-pointer for Frank Lampard’s side, who sit inside the Premier League’s bottom three.
Disaffected supporters had previously outlined plans to stage a demonstration against the Goodison Park hierarchy following Arsenal’s visit next month.
But NSNOW, formerly The 27 Campaign, are set to also hold a peaceful protest following the high-stakes encounter with the Saints on Saturday.
“Since the Brighton home defeat, there has been a widespread realisation and agreement that it is only Everton fans, as true custodians of the club, who can force Farhad Moshiri to make the changes necessary to rescue Everton,” read a statement.
“We will continue to provide the team and manager with the backing Evertonians are renowned for.
“However, we can no longer tolerate the failure of the club’s owner Farhad Moshiri to address the glaring leadership deficiencies at the chair, board and executive levels.
“Six years ago, in January 2017 Farhad Moshiri talked of “a narrow window of opportunity”.
“Facing two successive relegation battles that window has all but closed.
“Only sweeping leadership changes can offer any prospect of his window of opportunity re-opening.
“Doing nothing is no longer a viable strategy for Farhad Moshiri and Everton”
Evertonians are set to line the route to Goodison pre-match after The 1878s, another fan group, confirmed to welcome their team coach to the game.
More than 4,000 fans took part in a social media poll on whether to reinstate the gathering, last witnessed before Manchester United’s visit in October.
