The main trust behind Liverpool’s hospitals have registered another 17 deaths as a result of coronavirus.
The Liverpool University Teaching Trust, which includes The Royal, Aintree and Broadgreen, has confirmed that the death toll has risen from 349 to 366.
Across the city’s other trusts there have been a total of 399 deaths. On the Wirral there have been a total of 183 deaths with just one death being registered by the trust in the most recent update.
The total number of people who have died in hospital as a result of Covid-19 is now at 26,769.
