A police car that was on the way to an emergency had a brick thrown at it in the Anfield area of the city on Saturday night.
The vehicle was one of four that were on the way through Anfield on a blue light emergency.
Merseyside Police Roads Policing Unit took to twitter to report the incident and added that it would have been “unthinkable” what may have occurred if the brick had hit the windscreen.
This is the second incident in as many weeks after a police car was hit with a brick on Speke Road and the officer driving was taken to hospital with injuries.
