A man was arrested in the McDonald’s on the strand after police were alerted to concerns for a minor.
Police received reports of an ongoing incident involving a man and a child at the McDonald’s on Blundell Street in Liverpool.
Darren Jones- Bond was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child under the age of 13.
The girl was found safe and is now the subject of safeguarding measures.
Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “We have a specialist team who are committed to dealing with such allegations, who will respond to incidents and any other information that comes in.
“If you have suspicions about young people who are seemingly at risk please call police straight away. We can make an assessment and take the necessary action.
