A teenager has died after crashing a stolen scrambler bike in Allerton.
Police were called to Booker Avenue at 8.40pm on Monday to reports of a collision involving the bike and a black Volkswagen Tiguan car.
Two males, both aged 18, were riding on the bike and suffered serious injuries in the incident which happened close to West Allerton train station.
Merseyside Police confirmed on Tuesday that one of the men had since passed away while the second man remains in a serious condition in hospital.
His next of kin have been informed and enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
Detectives are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash or captured anything significant on dash-cam footage to contact them.
