A man has died after falling from a railway bridge in St Helens this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Haresfinch Road, St Helens following reports of an injured man lying in the road.
However despite the best efforts of emergency services the man died from his injuries.
Mereyside Police are not currently treating the death as suspicious, but inquiries are ongoing in the area.
Haresfinch Road and College Street were both temporarily closed as officers conducted their investigations, however both have now re-opened.
