Liverpool completes deal for Left-flank Defender

According to reports emerging in the media, Liverpool are on the verge of announcing a deal for left-flank defender Billy Koumetio from French club US Orleans Loriet.

The Premier League leaders had formerly put the 16-year-old on a trial since November 2018 and have now come to the decision to sign the youngster, who has had some playing time with Lyon, this January.

Daily Mail, being among the reports, also claims that defender will be immediately deployed to the Academy with the U23 side as they seek to go up the table.

It seems the Reds will be deploying Koumetio the U23 side as the youth team are currently topping the table with goals coming from Bobby Duncan and Paul Glatzel.

This will also mark another good feat for Liverpool as it shows that the club are keen on picking young future prospects around the world.

Koumetio is the first young player to be and will obviously not be last , having signed Ki-Jana However from Ajax last season with the player youngster appearing for the first team. It is now safe to say that youngsters play a vital role to the Reds future.

Another youngster to get a first team appearance is Rafa Camacho who came on as a sub to make a last minute tackle on Wilfried Zaha in their 4-3 win against Crystal Palace with several odds coming from OMEGATIPSTERS about the Premier League game.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp also believes in young players and also have a good history of giving the youngsters a chance to play in a crucial game injuries or no injury.

It could be awhile before we get to see Koumetio featuring for the Reds first team at Anfield with a massive crowd, but no doubt will be placed on the young defender because at Liverpool he will be having much chances to play for the big team than any other club.
