Mark Hillman’s family have today paid a heartfelt tribute to the Everton murder victim.
The 26-year-old was shot in Lloyd Close on Wednesday evening and later pronounced dead.
Police are investigating the death of the Kirkdale man and have stepped up patrols in the Everton area.
In a public statement, Mr Hillman’s family have paid tribute to
“Mark was a loving and caring father, son and brother,” they said.
“He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his family. At family gatherings he would always be the one to play practical jokes.
“He was a happy go lucky character who lived life to the full and enjoyed socialising with his many friends.
“As a family we have taken some comfort from the lovely response within the community and are appreciative of their support.
“We would like to thank the local residents who came to Mark’s aid. We would ask that we are now allowed some space and time to try and come to terms with the tragic loss of our much loved Mark who will be sadly missed.”
