Philippe Coutinho has addressed speculation linking him to Barcelona.
The playmaker became Liverpool’s top scorer for the season as they clinched Champions League qualification with a final day win over Middlesbrough.
Reports in Spain have continued to link Coutinho with a summer switch to the Catalan giants, who are said to be preparing to step up their efforts.
Speaking after the 3-0 win over Boro, however, the 24-year-old reaffirmed that he has no interest in deviating from his newly-signed contract at Anfield.
“I have a long contract with Liverpool – speculation is for journalists only,” he told ESPN Brasil.
“We started the season very well, I started well. But then in the middle the performance regressed.
“Then we bounced back, I finished the season at a high level.
“The whole team is playing well, today was a very important victory, next season it’s the Champions League.”
