Liverpool are facing a potential battle to retain Emre Can’s services this summer.
Contract talks with the Germany international have yet to deliver a breakthrough as he prepares to enter the final 12 months of his existing deal with the Reds.
Negotiations between Anfield chiefs and Can’s representatives remain at an impasse despite several months of discussions between the two parties.
The midfielder is understood to be seeking an improved contract which will see his current £35,000 per week salary more than doubled in the process.
But Liverpool may be forced to offload Can as they remain unwilling to pay the player’s excessive demands, with a host of clubs already reportedly interested.
According to the Daily Mirror, Bundesliga high fliers RB Leipzig as well as Hoffenheim and former club Bayer Leverkusen are in the hunt for the 23-year-old.
Juventus are also credited with interest, having emerged as potential suitors in January amid concerns about Can extending his Liverpool future.
