Jurgen Klopp has responded to criticisms of Liverpool’s recent form, insisting he is ‘not a clown’.
Saturday’s visit of Arsenal offers the Reds a fresh chance to overcome an abject run of form that has seen them win just twice in their first 12 games of 2017.
A chastening defeat to manager-less Leicester City earlier this week placed Klopp’s former Premier League title challengers further under the microscope.
But the Liverpool manager is adamant that his side remain focused on arresting their current slump, which also culminated in humiliating EFL and FA Cup exits.

He said: “I am not a clown even if few people think I am.
“I am not always laughing like crazy. I am a normal person. We are all influenced by our experiences.
“So why should I be in the same mood as at the start of the season?
“We are not ignoring the problems we have.”
