Man arrested for theft of bike seized in Bootle

A man has been arrested after a suspected stolen motorbike was recovered in Bootle.

Police recovered the Yamaha vehicle from an outbuilding at the rear of a block of flats in Ford Lane, store Litherland at around 9pm on Wednesday night.

A 31-year-old man from the local area was arrested on suspicion of burglary and has subsequently been released pending further enquiries.

The motorbike is believed to have been stolen from an address in Whiston in July 2016 and has been recovered for forensic examination.
