An unmarked police car was involved in a road collision near a Liverpool train station.
Emergency service attended the scene after two vehicles had collided at around 10.40am on Tuesday on Tunnel Road, close to Edge Hill station.
The police car was responding to an emergency call at the time before it clashed with a van.
Merseyside Police have confirmed that an investigation into the collision is underway.
As a result of the incident, the entrances/exit to Edge Hill station and both ends of Tunnel Road have been temporarily closed.
