A woman was hospitalised following a dramatic car crash in Page Moss yesterday afternoon.
The 62-year-old woman taken to Aintree Hospital following the incident on Liverpool Road, where she was cut free from the vehicle, and treated for a broken arm.
The collision occured at around 5pm when the woman’s Vauxhall Corsa collided with a roadside barrier outside a McDonald’s, causing the car to flip on to its roof.
A spokesman from Merseyside Police confirmed the driver’s injuries and added that an investigation is ongoing.
He said: “We are currently investigating how the crash occurred.
“The driver of the vehicle mounted the pavement, collided with barrier and overturned.”
“The driver sustained a broken arm. A passing nurse stopped to give first aid.”
