Everton are planning to open talks to sign Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko this week.
A host of European clubs including the Blues have been chasing the France international, stomach who starred for his country in their Euro 2016 final defeat last month.
But Ronald Koeman is reportedly planning to steal a march on the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus in the battle to secure Sissoko’s services.
L’Equipe claim that Everton have sent advisors to meet with the want-away Newcastle midfielder in Paris as they bid to secure their fifth summer signing.
Inter are also understood to be planning discussions with Sissoko in the coming days but both they and Everton will still have to meet Newcastle’s valuation of the player.
The Championship club have set a £34 million price tag on the 27-year-old.
