Everton are set to move for FC Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi, as boss Ronald Koeman looks to increase his defensive options ahead of the new season.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola have reported that Dutch international Martins Indi has been left out of the Portuguese side’s squad for the forthcoming season, and Everton are set to offer him a new challenge.
Martins Ind, 24, who played under Koeman at Feyenoord, is likely to cost the Blues in the region of £10m, which could prove a sound investment for a player highly-rated in both Portugal and the Netherlands.
The Blues have been linked with a move for a new defender all summer, following the exit of Tony Hibbert and the growing uncertainty over the future of England international John Stones.
