Liverpool FC yet to receive fresh Christian Benteke offers

Christian Benteke’s agent has revealed that Liverpool are yet to receive improved offers for the out-of-favour striker.

Benteke’s Anfield future appears increasingly ominous after failing to feature in any of the club’s pre-season friendlies this summer.

Last week Jurgen Klopp admitted that a move away from the Reds may be in the Belgium international’s best interest.

A host of clubs have monitored Benteke, with West Ham and Besiktas both credited with interest, but only Crystal Palace have tabled an offer.

However the Eagles’ £25 million deal failed to match Liverpool’s expectation of recouping the bulk of their £32M outlay on the player from Aston Villa.

His agent Eris Kismet remains hopeful that a deal can be concluded for the 25-year-old by the time the transfer window shuts on August 31.

“We are waiting for any news but at this moment there is nothing concrete,” he told the Guardian.

“There are several teams interested in signing him so hopefully we can reach a resolution soon.”
