Everton FC go head-to-head with Juventus for Euro 2016 finalist

Everton will challenge Juventus to the signing of Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Ronald Koeman is keen to build on his solitary summer signing of Maarten Stekelenburg and has reportedly turned attention to Sissoko’s capture.

Newcastle are holding out for a deal worth £35 million for the 26-year-old, who enjoyed a starring role for France in the Euro 2016 final.

But the Guardian claim that Juve are set to rival the Blues and have identified Sissoko as a potential successor to the Manchester United-bound Paul Pogba.

Arsenal and Liverpool have both emerged as potential suitors but the latter’s signing of Georginio Wijnaldum, also from Newcastle, has ended their interest.
