Liverpool defender Jon Flanagan is weighing up a season-long loan move to Burnley.
Flanagan recently committed his long-term future to Anfield with a new three-year deal but could be bound for a spell with the Premier League newcomers.
The 23-year-old missed Wednesday’s friendly win over Huddersfield Town after Jurgen Klopp offered him the chance to link up with Sean Dyche’s side.
First-team opportunities are likely to prove limited for Flanagan this season with the Reds with Nathaniel Clyne and Alberto Moreno already the club’s first-choice full-backs.
Competition as a fall-back option is also well-stocked with Joe Gomez, Brad Smith and Connor Randall all currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
